Susan Seacrist
Susan is a native of Greater Cleveland and has more than 30 years of experience as an attorney, the last 16 years in practice as a domestic relations lawyer in Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula Counties.
Susan attended Notre Dame Academy in Munson, Ohio; the University of Dayton where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Economics; and Cleveland Marshall College of Law where she obtained her J.D. in 1992.
Susan served as a Navy JAG officer from 1993 to 1997 at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida and at the Balboa Medical Center in San Diego, California. She was awarded both the Navy Achievement Medal and the Navy Commendation Medal for her service. Upon her return to Cleveland in 1997, she became a partner with a regional firm specializing in complex civil trials in defense of hospitals and medical practitioners.
Since 2008, Susan has a proven track record of successful results for her clients in domestic relations cases including divorce, dissolution, custody disputes and juvenile matters. She is a certified divorce mediator and is frequently asked to serve as a private mediator in divorce and custody matters. She also serves as a Guardian ad Litem in Lake and Geauga county courts.
Susan is the proud parent of two wonderful children. She was honored to be a celebrity dancer in the 2025 Dancing Under the Stars fundraising event for Lake County Lifeline. She is currently an active member of BNI Lake Elite and a trustee of the Lake County Bar Association. She enjoys hiking, pickleball, dance and traveling, and has taught as an associate professor at Lakeland Community College and served the community through the Willoughby Junior Women’s Club, Lake County YMCA and RFK camp.
